Chinese Urology Association (CUA) was the first Urological association in new China founded in 1981 by the founder of Chinese Urology, academician Jieping Wu in very difficult conditions after the culture revolution when a thousand things wait to be done in China. Thirty-four years since the establishment of CUA, members of CUA forged ahead with enterprising spirit, with this spirit passed from generation to generation. The members of CUA are both realistic and innovative, who exert their utmost effort and attracted worldwide attention and achieved great reputation. CUA is developing along all these years and now it has become modernized in academic, scientific in management and internationalized in its development, forging core strength in promoting the development of Urology in China. The 12th CUA committee consisting of 77 members was formed in October, 2019, with Prof. Jian Huang as the president. By far, it has 16 sub-speciality branches.
