The Female Urology Group, established in 2013, is a dynamic member of the CUA family. The group always insists on carrying out all the work under the leadership of CUA, always insists on the ideology of serving patients wholeheartedly, and always adhered to the pioneering and innovative spirit of exploration.

Female urology, also known as urogynecology, is a relatively new specialty in urology and has seen rapid development in recent years. Gynecology and urology are two independent disciplines, but in the embryonic development, the reproductive system and the urinary system have a close connection, anatomically adjacent to each other, functionally related to each other, and influence each other in the occurrence of certain diseases, development and treatment. In the past, the development of this department was limited due to the unpopularity of urodynamic examinations and the outdated concept that urology and gynecology should work separately.

Currently, the Asian Society of Female Urology and the Female Urology Group of CUA have been established, the areas such as urinary incontinence, voiding disorders, urethral fistulas, genital prolapse, neurogenic bladder disease, congenital anomalies, sensory and bladder dysfunction are focused on.

The female urology is an important branch of urology with a large number of patients and broad development prospects, with 10,000 medical and nursing staff engaged in female urology nationwide.

Through our efforts, we have made great progress in women's urinary common diseases, diagnosis and treatment standards, continuing education, providing a high-level communication platform for medical workers engaged in female urology since its establishment.

Our Work 

I. Five national conferences on female urology were successfully held (Xuzhou, Wenzhou, Xiamen ,Qingdao and Changchun)

II. Organized the female urology group symposium in the previous CUA annual meetings and select and recommend the winners of the Nuwa Award

III. Organized and wrote related book manuscripts

- Compiled "Guidelines for Female Interstitial Cystitis"

- Published "Diagnosis and treatment of female vesicovaginal fistula-expert consensus"

- Compiled 2016 Expert Consensus on Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) in Women 

- Completed 2017 Sacral Nerve Regulation Standardization Course 

- Published Wu Jieping Urology - Female Urology Sub-volume
