The robotics group of Urology branch of Chinese Medical Association (CUA) was officially established in November 2018. The establishment of robotics group is a milestone in the field of Urology robotics in China, marking the application of medical robotics in urology has entered a new era of rapid development. The first group leader is Academician Sun Yinghao and Professor Zhang Xu, with 69 members from many large medical centers with robotic surgery system in China. The current team leader is Professor Zhang Xu, with 61 members. Under the leadership of CUA, the group aims to organize and lead the work of robot access, personnel training, multi-center clinical research and clinical consensus guidance in the field of Urology robotics, through in-depth and extensive academic exchanges, and promote the continuous development of the field of robot in China.

Major tasks of the robotics group:

1. Promote and popularize robotic technologies of Urology. Hold high-level international and domestic academic conferences, constantly strengthen academic exchanges, and enhance the international academic influence of Chinese urology robot surgery experts.

2. Lead the technology access in the field of Urology robot, strengthen personnel training, and formulate clinical consensus guidelines for urology robot surgery.

3. Carry out multi-center clinical research on robots, support the application and promotion of new clinical technologies, publish high-level research, and make a strong voice of China on the international stage.

4. Promote the research and development of domestic surgical robot, improve the innovation ability, and build a surgical robot system with China's independent intellectual property rights.
