The Basic Science Group of the 12th Committee of the Urology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association was established in August 2021. The current basic science group is headed by Professor Niu Yuanjie, and the deputy heads are five professors Zhong Weide, Xu Hua, Fu Qiang, Wu Song and Zheng Xiangyi. Professor Wang Bo is the member and secretary-general of the study group, and Professor Chen Xu and Professor Shang Zhiqun are the members and deputy secretary-general of the study group. There are 58 members in the current academic group, adhering to the core values of the Chinese Medical Association of "patriotism for the people, advocating academics, promoting medical ethics, and dedicated service", giving full play to the advantages of the basic science group leading the academic frontier, and making unremitting efforts to achieve the goal of "healthy China" Hard work.

The tasks of the new basic science group:

1. Accept the Introductions of the CUA Committee to cooperate with the basic scientific research of urology, translational medicine research, and academic promotion and conferences;

2. Cultivate a basic medical research team of urology that seeks truth from facts, has a decent academic style, and is pioneering and innovative, and continues to issue "Chinese strong voice" to expand its influence in the field of basic research exploring the essence of medical science;

3. Build a basic medical communication platform, give full play to advantages, aim at the forefront, emphasize service awareness, cultivate cross-disciplinary and cross-field scientific research teams, and promote the continuous improvement of the level of urology research.
